Microsoft Makes A Bid for Yahoo: Bad Idea
When I heard that Microsoft made a 44 Billion Dollar bid for Yahoo!, I immediately thought why would they do this? I think even a mash-up off Google’s two major competitors couldn’t help them beat Google and that is obviously what Microsoft is trying to accomplish with this acquisition. They are trying to buy Yahoo as it is beginning to lose a lot of it’s visitors and having a...

MacWorld 2008 Keynote: The Most Exciting Event...
I know everyone is excited for MacWorld 2008 with the rumors of iTunes rentals, two new laptops(amazing ones at that), more details on the iPhone SDK and unlikely, but maybe even a 3G iPhone. But, today after I saw numerous articles on a series of very popular blogs just stating that the convention is a day away and then another article that just asked how to stage the layout of the keynote...

Xbox Live Was Down: Excessive Users
Just in case people were ever in doubt that Xbox Live was down because of a hack or any other reason, Major Nelson confirmed that it was because of the extra number of users(now 10 million!) due to the holidays and breaks.

The CES news is dieing down
Now that the keynotes are done, it’s time to catch up with any gadget’s I may have missed. Most notably, the 150-inch Plasma released by Panasonic is insane. I’ve heard rumors that the only way to ship it was to put it in the cargo-hold of a Boeing 747 alone. The big thing this year isn’t size of T.V.’s, but how slim you can get the T.V.’s. I think the slimmest...

Mac Pro is just the beggining.
Today, Apple announced an update Mac Pro, simply the new version of the G5. However, it is a very strong machine touting 8-cores at 3.2 GHz clock speed. But, I think things can only go up leading to MacWorld San Francisco 2008. It just keeps getting more exciting.

Microsoft Keynote: Funny, but disappointing on...
Bill Gates last keynote was definetly funny, especially his video montage of his last day at work with a bunch of celebrity cameos. However, the amount of news was lacking and anything that was shown was boring to me at least, or all old stuff. That’s all I have to say, check out the RotPod liveblog.

the redesign.
this is probably a tentative layout, until i figure out a more creative way of laying this out. I also get bored of things relatively quickly, so you’ll probably see some changes again.

I found this really interesting article on BBC describes an element found in Siberia that has the same properties of Kryptonite in ‘Superman Returns’. This doesn’t have a greenish glow, though.

MacWorld 2008 Predictions
My most anticipated product of 2008 is a tie between a new 360 that will hopefully be annouced with HDMI, HDDVD, and a very large harddrive feature an IPTV service. The other is an ultra slim Apple laptop or an Apple tablet. I’ve been a fan of tablets(I got one of the first Toshiba ones) and have recently wanted a Apple laptop. So, it’s basically the perfect merger. With the NAND...
